Sourcing & Procurement Terms

Draft. This page states our actual process in plain language. It has not yet been reviewed by Nigerian legal counsel and should not be treated as final, binding contract text until it has.

What this covers

These terms apply when you ask Nink to check the market, source, or procure lighting or venue equipment on your behalf through the Ask Nink request flow - not to items bought directly from our catalogue.

Market Check vs. Sourcing vs. Procurement

A Market Check gives you indicative information only - price ranges, general availability, typical quality differences. Sourcing means we've verified a concrete option with a real price, availability and lead time at the time we checked. Neither is a binding quotation unless we say so explicitly, and you're never required to buy through Nink after either one. Managed Procurement begins only once you choose to proceed and we record that approval.

Pricing and fees

Where Nink handles procurement, the total we quote you is made up of the agreed product/supply amount, Nink's procurement or service fee, delivery/logistics, and any other charge we've specifically flagged - less any discount agreed. We'll show you this breakdown before asking you to approve it. [LEGAL REVIEW: confirm this breakdown structure meets applicable consumer-disclosure requirements.]

Price validity

A quoted price is valid until the date we state at the time (if any). Supplier prices can change without notice; if that happens before you approve, we'll tell you rather than silently substitute a different figure.

Inspection

Where inspection applies, we'll state its scope (visual, functional, or specialist) and its outcome before proceeding to delivery. Inspection reduces risk but is not a guarantee against every possible defect. [LEGAL REVIEW: appropriate limitation-of-liability language.]

Delivery

We'll state the delivery method, location and responsible party for each engagement. Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees, unless we say otherwise in writing.

Warranty

Any warranty on a procured item comes from its actual source - the supplier, the manufacturer, or in some cases Nink directly - and we'll state which applies. Where no warranty has been confirmed, we'll say so rather than imply one exists.

Cancellation & refunds

Because most procurement involves committing funds to a real supplier on your behalf, cancellation after a deposit or payment has been made may not be fully refundable once we've acted on it. We'll state the specific cancellation/refund position for your engagement before you approve it. [LEGAL REVIEW: this section needs real drafting before it's relied on.]

Payments

Payments are recorded manually by Nink - we do not process card or bank payments automatically through this site. A deposit or full payment may be required before we proceed, as stated for your specific engagement.
